Tuscarora 5K Halloween Chase

Please join us on Sunday November 3, 2019 at 11:00am for the Tuscarora Halloween 5K Chase and Kids Fun Run! Participants are encouraged to dress as their favorite SUPER HERO (or other fun Halloween costume) to help us to raise funds for a very special boy and his family.

Chase Hill is a fourth grader in my class at Tuscarora Indian School. He is a sweet, loving boy that ALWAYS has a smile on his face and loves helping others. He has endured two years of testing and surgeries, yet has managed to stay positive and happy through it all. Last year he was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and walking has become increasingly difficult for him.

Chase was recently fitted for a transport chair and we are arranging with his family to install a wheelchair ramp and asphalt parking pad at his home. We would also like to raise money to help with medical costs and grant his wish to go to Disneyland while he is still able to walk and enjoy the rides. Become a super hero and help us keep Chase smiling!

START/FINISH

Both the 5K Run/Walk and Kids Fun Run will start and finish at the Tuscarora Nation House on the Tuscarora Nation in Lewiston. The Kids Fun Run/Walk will be a one lap (non-timed) route around the Nation House will take place at 10:30am. The 5K course is set to start at 11:00am and will feature an out and back course on the newly paved Mount Hope Road with the turnaround located just past Greene Road.

REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUP
Online registration will remain open until Saturday November 2nd at 7pm. Race day registration and packet pickup will take place inside the Nation House from 9:30am right up until the start of the race at 11:00. Lunch is inluded with all paid entries. Donations will gladly be accepted from non-running participants and sponsorship opportunities are available.

Kids Fun Run (12 and under) ......... FREE
5K Run/Walk ............................... $25

If you prefer to mail in your registration, please download both the race waiver and appropriate USATF liability waiver below and mail to the address shown. You must complete and mail BOTH waivers to event organizers to the address shown on the waiver along with your check.

POST RACE CELEBRATION

Please join us after the race for a post race celebration featuring homemade homemade soup, wraps, and pasta for all paid participants. Indian tacos, homemade corn soup, and beverages will be available for purchase. All food is being prepared by Patty Hummel and the Rickard Family. There will also be music, kid friendly activities and of course the awards ceremony!

PARKING

There will be plenty of free parking at the Nation House and additional parking at Tuscarora Elementary School located directly across the street.

AGE GROUPS & AWARDS

Trophies will be presented to the 1st place overall male and female 5K finishers and medals will be presented to the top male and female 5K runners in each of the following age groups:

14 and under, 15-19, 20-29. 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and older*
*Age groups may be expanded at the disccretion of the race director based on participation

TIMING & FINISH LINE SERVICES
Gun start/chip finish timing services using industry leading Jaguar Electronic RFID timing will be provided by Race Management Solutions. Results are updated throughout the race in real time and can be accessed at any time after crossing the finish line using any one of the following options:
